im getting my carpet cleaned in my living room where i have my aquarium should i be worried about those chemicals that they use affect the water and fish?

I’ve herd of people talking about the fumes from paint but nothing like that. I would contact the people that are doing the cleaning, try to find out what chemicals are in the solution they are using and if your still not sure the cover the tank and fuge if you have one to keep contaminations to a minimum.

If you have to get some fans and have them on the inner side and blowing out away from the tank or sump. to get air away from there

Also, turn off your skimmer so that it doesn't inject anything into your water.

yah and open your windows and put fans blowing the air out while opening doors to get good circulation through the house expelling the fume

Shampoo or chemical cleaning? I don't shampooing is a risk at all. I also don't think chemical cleaning does a damn thing for your carpet =)
