So I am curious what everyone uses to clean their testing equipment. Is there a phosphate free soap that everyone likes, or is there a better way to clean your tubes to keep your results as accurate as possible?

Generally, I use a small bottle brush and hot water. I then rinse with R/O and let dry. I built a test-tube drying rack which speeds up the drying process. If there is some reason to question the cleanliness of the tubes, I will wash them in a bleach solution, then rinse in a de-chlorinator solution, followed by the fresh water rinse. I have never thought to buy a phosphate-free soap, but I have never had any notably inaccurate test results either.

That is what I have been doing as far as rinse in RO water, but in a reef magazine I was reading recently they mentioned phosphate free soap. And since I am new to all of this I thought maybe I am doing it wrong.
