Flat WORMS??? On my polyps eating them!!

While looking at my star polyps..i saw besides tons of bristleworms and serpent star babies..I saw something that looked like a CLEAR inch worm!!

I watched it STRETCH OUT..and tug on the polyps as if trying to get inside to devour them!! They are SUPER quick like lighting..HOWEVER!! I was faster then one..
Below are the pics of it IN my tank..and then some in the glass.
They are JUST on my darn star polyps..

How in the WORLD do I KILL them before they destroy my stars??

2 more pics of the bugger

here are the last 2...

But..I am reading all over here and I am seeing the red flat worms..and they are the ones that are round and flat..

THESE are clear little stretchy worms..and retract SUPER fast when you try and get them.

its tough to say... when do you see them? Day or night or both? Please track them back to their source and see if its from a tube in the rocks or sand with what appears to be two worms per tube... if so, its a harmless Spionid.

If it really is eating polyps... then I have seen tis too on Xenia. You need to pull the coral back to QT and do a FW dip daily for 5-8 days on the colony. Having a small wrasse in the QT tank would not hurt either if it was convenient :p

hi there.
thank you for your reply....we only see them at nite..and now that you mention it..not quite sure if it was eating the bits of algae on there or what..but i think its the spiniod worm..looks JUST like this pic I found..the top part is what we see..and what we plucked out..the bottom part...not sure if we did see it and mistook it for a bristle worm..

thank you!
