Closed Loop Microbubbles

Just checking in on this one. When my "T" wasnt tight enough I also thought that I had it cranked down pretty good. I REALLY had to tighten it hard with a pipe wrench. Alot harder than I care to tighten anything for that matter and I do alot of residential plumbing. Maybe I just didnt have enough teflon tape for a thread that size. If nothing else works try to turn the system off for a while you may find a weepy glue joint as well. The best way to find a weeper is to make sure everything is dry and then wipe each joint with a napkin or paper towel. You'd be suprized at how small a leaky joint in plumbing can be. Almost to to the point of evaporating before it will even make a dew drop on the glue.

I'd bet its either a loc line venturi or the "T" though. Keep us informed.

well it definately could be the locline...alot of it is above the water line...i may try to extend the pvc outlet down towards the water some so that the locline can be fully submerged

Funny the 3/4" return loc-line I use goes way out the water & back into the tank, no bubbles but these aren't on a close loop, any pressure could cause venturi effect of the rushing water. I do get lots of salt creep on the joints so I know it isn't air/water tight but any connections above water need tape to be completely sealed.

i haven't got all the outlets opened up yet...i forgot to order two nozzles...i'm hoping the pressure drops when i open up the last two outlets...maybe it will help with the bubbles

UPDATE!!!!!!!! i just reconnected my pipes.....i was having trouble with a couple very slight leaks in the pump threads........i ended up sealing the threads with pvc glue....ALL THE BUBBLES ARE GONE!!!!!!!!! the tank is very clear now...i guess those tiny little leaks were the cause
