don't think of it as a small fourm. think specialized fourm. it could be useful for id. and facks too. think we all have them or want a pair, from small tanks to large, their just not complete with out them.

Hmm, this could be interesting. I think it would look a little weird because seems specialized, but there are none other really specialized realms within the 'fishes' forum with Terry B.

Hi,
I was wondering if we could do a captive breeding/propagation forum myself, and for fish that would pretty much mean clown forum I am guessing most of the coral questions would go to the coral experts' forums.

yeah i agree with Jiddy Bam Bam , Elmo you would have to put a lot of pictures, videos, research on sickness, anemones ect ect .. and may be even a workshop on how to breed your clowns .. no seriously i think it'd be awesome to have a forum like that for our beloved clowns

just to eliminate all the pollitics we could start a thread about them , i mean there are enough people that are interested that already put their 2 cents in we can just get started? when all q&a is covered the thread is done. no harm no foul. lets see if we can get 1500 posts like that stupid answer and ask thread that is going on still. maybe elmo can start. here is a couple questions: how do you know your clowns are mated/bonded? does the tile in the tank get them in the mood? what happens when you add a second pair of mated clowns, do they swing or do a wife swap ? iam waiting for replys
Mike and I will talk about this further for sure. As Mike said, a lot of times very focused forums tend to get overshadowed and have a tough time getting the traffic because of the "niche" that is formed. I agree, many people have clown fish, but many people also have wrasse fish, tangs, angels, gobies, etc ... that is the kind of thing we will need to discuss.
We are not ignoring this thread, we just want to think it through a bit.

i dont think there needs to be a specialized forum, just a clownfish Q&A thread see where it goes I agree with chuck i also got alot of Q's about tangs as well

well guys. i come here and fist look at whats for sale. local stuff. then i look what in the genral fourm and then leave.
and then i got to rc and go right to the clown fourm and then look for stuff for sale, like sps and drygoods.
i feel like i should be able to come here and go right to a serious fourm where ppl are not asking to see but a place where u go to post and share, ask Q@A ,
maybe see a list of clowns name and pics.and places they come from
maybe we all could send in pics of our fish and where the lfs said they came from.
and then a hole pic the pic for the fish for the list
but id like to see ppl realy make this something great. i know u guys would like to have something nice . like the one on rc. id like to see ours be better then that one

most ppl dont have breeding tangs , or other, look mommy nemo. (i hate that)(that movie killed so many fish))) but it has brung in so many ppl to our hobby

well first of all, we're not RC and if they have it , good for them.
