How long have you had the clown, was it QT/treated, what tank mates?

Could be anything at this point so the more info you can provide about the tank, the clown and it's cohabitants, the better. If relatively new, also include acclimation technique.

Has the clown been dewormed or treated for internal parasites? I see a trail of feces or is that flowing from the body of the fish?

oh, course my good man,

iv had the clown for 6 months, was never qt'd (dont have one) (but if this is ich, i gues i will soon) tank mates

3 green cromies all look well larger one more agressive lately (noticed)
blue legs, torchus, ceirths brittle stars, single peppermint,

zoo's,toddstool leather, gsp's, yellow pylops, shrooms, and magnifica sea annenome,

it takes him a good while to pass something, its usely white, his diet is forumla 1 pellets, and mysis every few weeks. never treated him for anything.

i say it takes him about 15 min to make a 2 inch trail....

also a mexican turbo and recorda.

What was the last wet item added to the tank, how long ago?

zoo's,toddstool leather, gsp's, yellow pylops, shrooms, and magnifica sea annenome,
Has the clown attempted to host any of these, especially the Ritteri?

This is most likely unrelated to the bump below the operculum but you need to treat this one for internal parasites. Might as well deworm at the same time. Ultra cure PX would be the best answer to your situation. Treat all the fish though, not just the clown.

damn..... the last thing i added was the recorida about a month ago.... About..

i havent seen him trying to host, yet.. but i havent bin here in the day, and i cant conferm when this showd up.

can i treat them in the tank, as is... since i dont have a qt..

i think ill be geting rid of the cromis soon as well..

Only treat with the Ultra Cure PX. It will address both internal parasite and worm. For now, feed with foods including garlic. It will greatly reduce (although not cure) the problem. The Gel Tek is unique in that it forms globs once dropped into the tank. This makes it especially versatile for treating without a QT. Just be sure you can target feed the fish easily and they come to the surface to feed. Turn off all water movement apparatus as well. Follow the direction they provide and you'll do just fine.

As for the bump, let's play wait and see for now. You have not posted any test results (?) so I would be interested in those as well. For good measure, do a few good sized water changes 20-25% every other day for a week. Make sure the tests are done beforehand though. If it's a parasite problem it would do little to help but if something is amiss with the water, the water changes should fix it up nicely. Keep an eye on weather or not the clown is hosting (or attempting to) host anything.

ok, ill have to get some food i guess with garlic.... what should that be?

they come right to the top right corner when i put my hand there,

ill run a full test right now on everything i got.... should take about an hour. let me get a beer and sit down.

i do water changes pritty regularly as it is... like sundays and wensday's

i did one the day b4 yesterday i think. i dont know.. i do so meny i cant keep track..

be back in a little with that info

I'm assuming NO2 and NH3 are undetectable?

As for the water changes, try to proceed as I've suggested. It may not seem like a lot but it can make all the difference.

ya,

no no2 or ammonia,

i kinda dont post them cause there kinda useless test kits, if every time i use em its the same.

i saw amonia once, i was amazed, then i never got to use it ageain

nemos zit is bigger and white now......

i wish i would have started that qt last week...

Have you done/started anything discussed a week ago?
Are the water parameters still all zero and is this still the only bump on the fish?
Can you post an updated picture?

ya thought i posted a updated pic here ,

3 water changes, since..

water permamters are all the same.
its changed color,

that was yesterday....

So no treatments have taken place, just the water changes?

I would be prepared with the QT as it may become necessary. I can't tell what that is at this point, there not enough detail in the picture or the description you've provided. If you could be more elaborate in your description of the bump it might help some. I'm hesitant to say it's an infection/viral/parasitic problem just yet. It's one of the there, there's just nothing conclusive to say which but I'm not leaning towards parasitic. For now I would keep the water parameters aces and prepare the QT.

What foods are you using?
What color has it changed to?

the qt will take a at least another week and half, i hope he can make it,

im feeding fourmula 1and2 pellets

It looks unsightly but I do see any immediate threat of losing the fish. Keep the water quality high, water changes whether you get nitrogen readings or not. If antibiotics become necessary, a cycled QT would not be necessary except if using something like Maracyn. Not sure yet what would be needed to be honest.

You also need to address the food types. They will do nothing to help your fish's immune system in overcome small problems. Pellets are pretty low on good nutritionalo value and they (as a rule) contain additives/food types fish do not need. I would really suggest switching to a frozen omnivore blend like Ocean Nutrition or making your own. Mysid shrimp, scallop, mussel, squid ect. Along with a good liquid vitamin, HUFA and vegetable matter, they will be surprisingly much better off.

it looks much better since i took that pic yesterday its not white anymore.

it kinda looks better then the first pic.... hard to tell...

ill get back 2 ya on that.
