Hello, The Mid-Columbia Saltwater Aquarium club came highly recommended by some nice folk I recently met. Can someone tell me how to become a member and who to contact. Getting back into the hobby after 15 years and a lot has chaged! Thanks! :boink:

I'm not a member of this club, but just wanted to welcome you to the forum :welcome:. I really hope you enjoy it here. :)

I'm just a lowly member, however, we'd be happy to have you. Come, introduce yourself on our website, and attend a meeting. We have the membership form at our meetings. When we get closer to the meeting, if you ask on the MCSAC.org site, they can either pm you the directions, or members will generally be happy to have you follow them out if you are directionally challenged like I am. Oh, and by the way, welcome back!

Just keep in mind the answers you get may be different from different people, there is no 1 way to set up and manage your tank, there are the basic rules and from there, you will learn to taylor it to your own way that works for you. Probably the biggest changes in 15 years are skimmers and lighting, start bigger than you think you want and it will save you one of you upgrades, lol. And take your time, it will cost you less in the long run, we all have attics of stuff we thought we needed and didn't :)

sorry for late reply. Thank you MrsBrode.

The next club meeting is next week end in Benton City. We are still active. We will be talking t-shirts, SeaMax, planning our trip to Seattle. Oh yeah a lot of looking and talking Reef Tanks. lol. I look forward to meeting you, Welcome. Ed :)

Tina- club is planning road trip to Seamax!! I hope to see Mark and Mike both there! Lots of respect for both!!
Contact me if you would like to follow us out to Benton City on 16th. We ordered New Club T-Shirts. We will most likely talk about those bringing equipment. for example I have a few pumps, etc for Seamax booth. Bring a smile and get ready to talk fish stuff with other people just like you. Mike and Mark you guys are always welcome, you know that!!
