I have a high tech 75 gallon planted tank and it has CO2 injection(which helps the plants and curbs algae growth). My question is what would it do in a reef tank?

Co2 is used to "feed" freshwater planted tanks, as you're doing. In a reef tank, it'd be disastrous! In fact, it WAS disastrous, in my reef tank, when my Co2/CArx malfunctioned, emptying my Co2 bottle, completely. I lost 9 or 10 fish, 4 clams and 90% of my SPS, in a matter of a couple of hours!

Co2 is used, in conjunction with a Calcium Reactor, to dissolve the calcium. However, if not done properly, can result in a tank crash.
