Cobwebs?

I have this stuff which sort of looks like cobwebs growing in my LR.

Are the cobwebs red or amber/brown by chance?

No camera, they look sort of greyish white

Google spaghetti worm and vermetid snail, chances are pretty good it's one of these. Either that or an encrusting sponge.

I agree with steve-s, on vermetid snail or spaghetti worm.
