Colleen,

Im very sorry to here that you have to give up all your tanks and such. I dont know whats going on and it doesnt really matter but I hope that all is well for you and your family and everything works out. I know when you are ready to get back into the hobby we will all be here to help you out.

Life is just suddenly taking it's toll on me... :) The past few months have been very busy and my adorable daughter flipped a switch one day and decided to be a horrendous pre-teen...... I have a full time job; used to be off Fridays to work on club stuff and take care of tanks; but those are gone now as I have a new job and need to focus on that and my kids.

We all appreciate everyone's well wishes.

Hi Colleen,

We attended our first meeting tonight and really enjoyed meeting some of the PSAS folks. From reading your posts, especially as president, it is obvious that you have a passion and so much to offer this group! I hope things work out for you and your family and you can jump back in some capacity soon! Good luck!

Wow...I was just getting to know you! I hope all is well but I must say, I cannot imagine having a daughter...I think I would freak out. I have no idea what has transpired as I just stumbled on this thread, and I hope it goes well for you. We travel through life in cycles and you may end up back at it later on. Thank you for introducing me to the PSAS! :)

I keep hearing it's only going down hill from here. :)

Thanks Jonathon, we still like saltwater goodies; and even the wild child said how can you give it all up because they are your friends. At that age that is ALLLLLLLL that is important is friends and what are they going to do next with them. I said well, we aren't giving up our friends, just making some time. I'd never miss the big picnics. I loveeeeeee selling raffle tickets.

temporary departures

I took a break myself when our daughter was born. I was starting a new business and a year later (2 years ago) I started building our new house (all myself.) Well, the new house is almost done and the coral madness hasn't ever left. I had to content myself with a small planted aquarium which is fun in it's own way. Anyway, you can always come back, and sometimes those crucible moments help you figure out what the most important things are.

Good luck!

Josh

to me you're a brave woman ... giving up all those beautiful tanks is something.
Like i told you before, if you or Scott ever decide to get a little fish tank (even if its' a pico ) you will always be welcome for any of my corals .
One of my first drools came from your tank and it was a real big inspiration .
