COLT or NOT?

id pls.... Im confuse if if it's colt or kenya tree.

I cant help you too much because I think it could be both. Some people think they are one and the same. Maybe someone with more knowledge will step in here. I have a Colt, and it looks similar to that.

Kenya is a lot more branchy, I would have to call it a colt.

yeah i'm sure someone with better eyes would tell .

Looks like a sinularia finger leather to me. IME the polyps on a colt/kenya are usually larger.

It's definately not a Colt Coral. Here is a pic of mine about 2 months ago.

My Colt looks the same as Detri's, but with different color variations. Kenya trees, are more bushy hence the name "tree". I'm beginning to think it's the Sinularia leather too.

can't help on the id either, but that is a damn fine pic you've taken there.
i'd bought a coral that looked exactly like that from my lfs. they said it was a colt,
it grew huge within a half year or so, and i had to take it back to free up space in my tank.

Thanx a lot bro.. I kinda notice that it grows too fast. Well actually when I had it a month ago,....it was sitting close to my sea anemone where it got stung and some branches got disintigrated and i thougth it would die. But it survive- very hardy plant and now I've got five frags from it. The picture I posted was the mother one. I just inserted the frags in the crevasse and hole of the LR. Now i can see that it is branching again.


But thanx for trying to help me id it. I also think it's a colt.

Well I hope I'm not wrong coz I still think its a colt. I'm sure its not a leather. I'll try to post a new pix of it since it has started to branched again....
