Just thought I'd post this link for those that would like to do a little diy and have an affordable cone skimmer. www.polyfab.biz is making acrylic cones for skimmer manufacturers this is making the mold for the proper sizes a stock item and affordable.

Got some quotes back on cones the largest being 8" to 3" 18" tall $140 and down to $90 for the small ones. All 1/4" cast. Looks like its going to be a great way to make diy cones affordable.

Any update on this? I would love to make my own cone skimmer. Also is there a place that you can get plans for one or is it a make it by the seat of your pants kind of thing?
