Cool snails

I picked up 4 of these snails...can't remember the name but they were only 2$ and they hang out under the sand...as soon as i put them in they started digging right under so it's perfect cause the LFS guy said that they are great sand sifters AND they might possibly start eating the nutrients that my cyano algae eats!

they're yellowish like turbos

Do they have a pokey thing that sticks out the front, sniffing the water? If so, they are nasarius snails. They are way cool. I have a couple too.

Sounds like Nassarius. Great sand sifting snails, love mine.

They are my favorite snail. Whenever they come out to feed they march like little soldiers. Night of the living snails!

Mine took under the sand as soon as they came in...i'll probably pick more up. What all do they eat? Is it possible for them to starve?

From my experience, small meaty foods are what they prefer. It is possible for any snail to starve, imo.

Nassarius Obsoletus. Some call them Fancy Nassarius snails. Great sand sifters and detrivore eaters.

They are nassarius snails, and it's funny to watch them sometimes all march in a row up the side of the tank then back under the sand
