Ok so i have two problems
1. i cant keep Cleaner Shrimp
2. i have lost two anemone's

Tank has been in different stages when i have tryed the different animals. one shrimp when the tank was new and he died and also when the tank was new i tryed an anemone but i have let settle for almost 2 years and i waited 1 year to try a shrimp and 8 months to try a anemone and still no luck. I have such bad luck with shrimp that they usually die while i am accilmating. I think the tally now i 8 shrimp. Now the tank is stable with para.

salt .025
amonia 0
phos 0
nitrate 0
nitrite 0
calc 600
alk 8 dkh
78-80 deg const

Edit Sorry 55gal dual 175 mh and 30gal fuge and 20 gall sump

i have had many sugestions that copper might be prevelent but i have snails an hermets and lots of softies and i dont know if copper is harmful to anemone's. I have not tested water for copper because i dont want to buy a really expensive copper test to get a good reading and only be able to use it once.
any sugestions would be great thanks.
eric

p.s. sorry about spelling

well first off what kind of lighting do you have?
how big is the tank?
how many watts of light per gallon?

your params are not ok.. your calcium is way high and the dkh is a little low..
you need to keep your calc at 400 +- 25

Matt

Try 35 ppt salinity. Try a very calm slow drip acclimation.
Buy a copper test kit, but unless you have added copper or bought used lived rock that was like crazy super dosed with copper. Copper is more than likely not your problem.
