Hi all,

There a few pics below to reference. I have green algae growing on the tank that doesn't scrap off! I assume it is coralline but thought I'd ask. Also, I have attached a couple of pictures of leather coral. Can someone Id? Also, the mushroom looking coral does not seem to be doing well. The polyps that were long with a white tip at the LFS never seem to be showing and sometimes at night, they begin coming out (I have had the coral about a week). It leaves me thinking the light is too much but the other leathers seem fine. All water parameters are perfecto. Lighting is 150watt MH (see signature for other specs).

Thanks for the help!

Hmm...Couldn't say man. I've never seen coraline that green, but you never know. Here's a bump for you incase someone missed the thread:)

enough elbow, scraper or razor and it will come off the glass. keep your eye on it to be sure it is not something else. I would leave the leathers alone for a while and let them acclimate for some time. I have found with my finger leather that it likes the light with medium flow on it.

i gotta agree with Krish, it looks very greenish... are you sure it's not just a different kind of algae.
I wish i could help you... but i have no clue dood.

Possibly, Maybe more so if its a glass tank the glass may have some slightly imperfections ( lots of them do ) where algae wont some off with some types of scrapers and you need something like that white floss scrubbed against it to remove it > But usually its brown algae I'd say if its soft its algae if its harder and takes a used credit card or similar plastic to scrape it away its probably Coraline :)

Thanks eveyone. It takes a lot of elbow to get it off! Maybe its not coralline. My tank doesn't seem to want to grow coralline. I guess that is not necessarily a bad thing from some of the reading I've done in this forum.

Thanks again!
