Alright, so if I am adding a new coral to my tank, what steps should I go through to add it? The one thing I do not have is a tank for coral QT.

Basically, I don't want to bring some disease or algae into the tank from coral.

Well for SPS I use Revive. It seems to work great. However NO dip will kill AEFW eggs. The Revive will knock the alive FW off the coral but does nothing for the eggs. A QT is the only sure way to not get AEFW into a tank if you are dealing with SPS. Also Revive will kill some smooth skinned Acros such as ORA Echinata.

Revive, CoralRx and/or TMPCC are all great products and will kill or stun most of the pests we deal with. However, as Scott mentioned, some of the pest EGGS won't be effected by these medications, nor any others, that I know of. Since you're not getting into SPS yet, about the only eggs you'll have to worry about will be Aiptasia eating Nudibranchs. The dips will take care of the Nudis, but not the eggs. The eggs are somewhat easy to spot, much easier than the Nudis themselves. The eggs will be found, between polyps and will appear in a spiraling pattern. They'd need to be removed with a toothpick, tweezers or a toothbrush.

When you do get into SPS, the eggs you'll need to be on the look out for, will be Acro Eating Flatworms, as Scott mentioned, and Montipora eating Nudis.

The dips will give you a very good chance of getting rid of most pests, but no absolute guarantee.
