well seeing how no one round here is coral farming hardcore, i have decided to take it upon myself to start one.
the pic you are going to see and just the begings of my farm so far dubbed "saltwater pond" its going nice few probelm algeas here and there fuge is kicking in nicely showing good growth
only problem with equipment is my skimmer goes skits when i put fresh water in it??? any ideas its a read sea skimmer up to 250gls 2nd hand job

so where am i going from here? my lfs owner whos looking after me pretty well has got my 4 6'x2'1' tanks and a box of plubming for the overflows all i need is some stands and some lengths of pvc and a couple of return pumps and i will be in bussiness this is going to cost me less then 1600 bucks to set up.

i have croped one of the pics to show a baby clown wrasse, its only about an inch long, my friend has bought it for his display but has to move a sixline so has left it in my pond being a fairly safe place for a baby fish although iam worried about its saftey and hope he takes it off my hands soon it sure is a cute fish though

here are the fish in there at them moment the clowns probly are staying because of the anenomes but they love the light so much ill be disapointed to take them out of the sunlight

the corals are from a my lfs Ocean Reefs Marine Aquariums best shop display tanks in australia

heres a big picture of the tank so u can see it a little better

cheers for reading

cheers for the bump
i am having a pegola built for the tanks so they dont get rained on and then i can also have halides if need be and a chiller and enough room for extra tanks in the futer

He mentioned rain in his other thread.

Morgan,

Good to see it up and running. Nice Red Shrooms!

cheers everyone
it is under the eves which blocks light untill about 10am and the light gets in there
the other thing about it being open to the elements as it is, is the wind creats alot of surface waves as adds extra current to the tank
