Ive read that you should feed your corals a few times a week with phytoplankton a couple hours before your lights come on in t he morning and zooplankton a couple hours after your lights go off in the evening. If this is the recomended practice, my question is in regards to protein skimming.
Should the use of a protein skimmer be turned off when feeding phytoplankton or zooplankton and if so, for how long should the protein skimmer be turned off?
It would seem to me that a lot of what you are feeding would be lost to skimming.
