Its been a whlie since I've posted but currently I'm studying here in Townsville queensland for a good 5 months and I don't have an aquarium here. Anyway, onto the question, I swear I've seen this site before but my search has come up empty so I thought I'd ask. I've seen online pictures that look almost exactly like Corals of the World by J.E.N. Veron. I'm no looking for any other random site but specifically on that has info like that from Verons book with range of the species etc. Thanks for the help all.

agreed... its a very, very good source of info here.

It's odd too... unlike plants and algae (algaebase.org) and fishes (fishbase.org) there simply is no standout, authoratative free-info database for cnidarians. At least none so thorough as the aforementioned.

Do grab a few books (see recommendations in my sticky under "Fav links...") to cover each of the major groups... soft corals & seafans... stony corals...

Thanks for the links. The whelks site I believe is the one I was looking for. Once again, thanks for the help.
