Coralife Aqualight Advanced Lighting Fixtures

Do you think that 2 of the Coralife 150 watt 12" halide fixtures is too much for 50 gallon reef?

I have one but it does not cover my tank that is 36" long (18" deep).

I just picked one up and I thought I could add it to my T-5 39wx4 setup with 4 leds but it will not fit the top right. So I thought maybe I could get a second 150 fixture to cover the entire length of the tank.

Sorry I forgot to add my reef only has soft corals at the moment but I would like to add hard corals to but was told I needed halide lighting for better results.
