CoralVue prop pumps

Anyone have these pumps. How is the wave action? Any good or bad info out there?

Don, those are sunsun pump's rebranded as cv. I've been running them for 8mths now. The second generation with the ceramic shafts are great. The first generation with stainless steel shafts sucked as they rusted and had leaky voltage probs, much like the koralia's. I think they used 18-8 stainless on there first shafts, which is a nono in SW use. I run the 3000gph one's. They are quiet, pretty efficient (24w) and restart in the right direction 90% of the time. I would not run them on wavemakers as they will be like running the koralia's on wavemakers, chattering and what not. You can source them from china for 28bux + 10 shipping. HTH

So their really not a wave maker pump. Just another cheap power head. I just saw them in a junk mail this morning claiming they pulsed but already deleted it.

To my knowledge they are not wavemakers. There is a wavemaker, a resun but the prop pump's are not.

Not a wavemaker, its a powerhead. If you use it on a timer it will chatter and pry end up breaking the pump.

This is a cheap china wavemaker

And i'm not saying these are junk pumps, they work just fine.

they do have start up issues and spin backward, if we consider that as a pulse mode then it is surely a wave maker
