Couple Of Growth Pics and a Question

Here's a couple of growth pics of my Orange Monti Cap. Hope you enjoy! :)

And now for my question.................
 
Now, my question is... There's a tiny spot in the middle of my cap that is growing hair algae (see 3rd pic above). Why and how can I get rid of it?

Nice growth pics, and great avatar!

This may sound bizarre....take a small chip of monti from an edge, and superglue it over the algae spot. This should smother the algae and allow the cap to grow and encrust onto itself. It may not provide a growth pattern you like, so consider that first. Ideally, the new chip should start cupping like the rest. Good luck and welcome. D

Gotcha, thanks for the tip. Seems like every time I tweeze the algae off it gets a tiny bit better. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for the compliments! :)
 
Fish waste dropping on the coral is the likely cause of the spot. You can apply some super glue over the area and the coral will quickly overgrow the glue.

you just gotta love the orange monti when they grow this great. The color can't be beat.. sweet pics!!
