I just got the aqua c remora pro and all i can say is wow wow wow wow it kicks the cpr bak pak clear out of the tank... I just put it in the tank and 5 mins later im getting bubbles :) So i traded the cpr bak pak for this skimmer with the mag drive 350gph. OOOOHHHHHH and its sooooooo quiet....I would like to hear what everyone else thinks about the aqua c remora pro...

depending on how dirty you tank is.... you will probly be able to start higher... then as it cleans the hell outta your tank your gonna wanna bring it down.....

unscrew that white screw in the jet port first.... b4 it gets stuck in there with salt......

have fun!

negative on the "not takeing the screw out" part

i mean dont take it out with the powerhead on and pumping.... your gonna get water on the celing..... but my first screw. i didnt take out for about 6 months... when it was time to unscrew it it striped out and needed to be removed with force......

remove it now screw it in by hand.... mine can be takeing out by hand now....

it doesnt need to be screw in all the way.... just hand tight. (at least mine)

remora skimmer...

welll i woke up this morning and bam the collection cup was all most full..The lfs dude said to run it wet for a few days to break it in. Im happy i got up early and looked or i would of had a mess

no mess when it fills all the way up it stops skimming,

it just goes back in to the tank

negative.... dont turn it off anyhow... just raise it....

every time you put your hand in the tank it will stop skimming....

(dip your hand in the qt tank first)

let her RIP!

the oil on your hand is enough to stop the bubbles from makeing it up the tube....

ive found that when i dip my hand in the qt tank first... (then dry it) it removes the oil from my hand and the skimmer will only stop for a short time (or shorter),

Does anyone turn there skimmer off when your feeding mysis????

Yep, I turn mine off during feedings.

Actually I have mine on a timer--it turns the Remora off everyday for about 3 hours...
during my primetime TV hours ;) (It is a quiet skimmer, but not THAT quiet! :p )

wow i cant even hear mine compared to that cpr bakpak

I never had a bakpak, but I know my remora was a little louder than my old Prizm Skimmer..... (but is MUCH, MUCH Better :) )

.....Give it time some time--after about 3 weeks your ears will "adjust" and you'll start noticing that Remora hissing....then it'll be time to install a D-I-Y "silencer"...;)
