Are there any crabs that are suitable for a tank with inverts and small fish.

Several. How big of a tank are we talking about? You could go with porcelain crabs or pom pom crabs if you have a smaller tank. They tend to get lost in bigger tanks because they usually only come out at night or when feeding. If the tank is bigger, green/red/black mithrax crabs or sally light foot crabs. Some people say they will grab small fish when they get big enough, but just like most other information, it's probably second hand from someone who claims they saw their green mithrax eating a fish. Chances are, that fish was already dead and the crab is just doing it's job of cleaning up.

Thanks, it is a small 34 gallon tank.

So you're basically in between a nano and a medium sized tank. I would probably go with a mithrax crab. Most of the time you see green ones, but once in a while you'll find red or black. The red ones are pretty neat looking I think. That's probably a bit too big for a pom pom or porcelain crab. You could try it, but I've got a 5.5g tank with 8lbs of rock in it with 3 sexy shrimp and a pom pom crab and I only see him once in a blue moon in the morning.
