just got a 55gal drum that has be reconditioned to FDA spec, what can i do to make sure it's clean enough to store R/O in????

I buy once used juice barrels[orange juice,olives,and halopeno]and the way i get the smell out is to fill with warm water,and dump a box of baking soda in.Stir and let sit over night,than rince and fill a couple times.If that doesn't work than use bleach and water.The bleach way might take a while to air out after you're done.

just make sure its sealed, and airated

yeah the disolved soilds are @ 3ppm out of the filter. i'll see if there is any difference w/ the water in the drum.
