I started this same thread on another board and was surprized that there seemed to be very little interest. I was wondering if some people on R/F have any they are willing to show. If so please do............. anyway here's what I said:
I think deep water acro's are some of the most under rated sps pieces in our reef's. I'm interested in seeing what others have cause I kind of like them, so if you have any let's see some.
Here is a shot of my oh so fragile A Jacquelineae. Nothing fancy but I think the growth forms are kind of groovy.

well, will a description work...I also have the jacquelinaea and love this coral. Mine is a pale green with now developing blue tips. I also have a A. turaki solid blue.

I have that exact same acropora. Love it and the color will knock your sock off. Mine arrived lime green w/ the blue polyps.

Here are a couple I have.

A. turaki frag

A. ?, thought it was turaki back when I took this pic but the growth pattern as it has grown seems different than a turaki. It is a lot bigger now :D.

A. echinata frag..little guy :). this is going to be sweet when it grows up. It is already twice this size and showing a nice white/cream in the branches with the sweet deep blue in the tips.

I have a beautiful A. granulosa, green with blue/purple tips and an orange sheen the green body. I cannot capture a good photo of it but it is one of my favorites.

How do you know if its a deep water acro?
They often have small or thin delicate branches. In shallow high flow areas these type corals would be broken by the first wave that rolled in. A set of Corals Of The World (COW) by Jen Veron will also aid in identification.

Kevin
