Hi All--

What is your definition of a nano-tank?

I am curious, since I'm sure there will be different answers :)

Best,
ilham

My definition would be anything under 30 gals although I've heard quite a few people say anywhere between 30-40 gals. Would you like me to add a poll to this thread for you Ilham? Let me know if you want to go that route and I can do it real quick otherwise we can leave it as it is. :)

Okay, so according to wiki, since the DT area of my almost 3 gal tank is only 1.75 gals, it is still considered a Pico tank.

Don't sneeze to close to that thing Lorrie.

I've always considered anything under 5 gal a pico and anything over that to about 30 gals a nano. Most of the all-in-ones come in around 30 gals and under. :)

I would have to say anything smaller than 35 gallons. Salona makes a "34 gallon AIO," which I would classify as a nano.

Really, then you would classify my 34 RSM a nano too. I guess its close, since a good 4+ gallons are actually in the back filtration and the display is only 29-30 gals. So I guess I have a nano too. The small tanks are fun. That pico is alot of fun really. I wil have to post some updated pic on the thread I started.
