What is detritus? does anybody got any pics of this stuff? Oh yea what are pods also? thanks

Ever seen something looking like dirt resting on the bottom of your tank or when you blow off your rocks with a powerhead you see a dust storm???That's basically detritus which in a nut shell is waste material...As for pods, people are usually referring to copepods which look like little bugs that run all around your tank cleaning up. If you are using a good quantity of live rock, you should have live ones in there already.

Cool, By the way I just threw on an 8 inch fan over my tank and the temp went from a stable 82-84 to 74-76. thay really work. thanks.

Is a 96 watt pc overkill for my HOB refugium, which is 19 inches long. Im thinking this is making my water hotter/.

It could be adding some heat as my 18w pc I had over a sump of mine got pretty warm...

If you're using a HOB fuge such as a CPR Aquafuge, yes, I'd say that's overkill. If it's that type of fuge, it probably only holds 4 gallons or less. 96 watts will really heat up that small of an area.

Thats exactly what I have, im gonna change the light to a 15 watt grow light. I noticed my macro was growing rather quickly.
