If anyone is interested, Costco has a three pack of digital timers with grounded outlet for 13 bucks. I bought two packs at the Issaquah Costco.

Sounds like a great deal. I've already had a few of the cheap o's from Fred Meyer break so I'll pick up a pack. Thanks for the post.

Hmm...also are they two-pronged or do they have a ground as well, i mean both on the timer to the wall outlet, and from what you're plugging into the timer.

I saw those the other day also ...and yes they are grounded at both the male and female ends. If I didn't just buy mine I would have bought these...lol

It's three prong all the way around. They don't say heavy duty. In fact the packaging really doesn't say much at all. The timers themselves say, 15A General Purpose or Resistive, 1800W Tungsten, TV-5, 1/3 HP. I have no idea on the quality of them. For a whopping three days I have not had any problems. I had bought 4 of the GE digital timers about a year ago and they were all crap. About once a week the timers just wouldn't turn off. I bought those on sale for $20 each so I figured I would give these a try.

They sound by the spec heavy duty to me, if the amp rating is for the contacts.

Hey does anyone have a link, I'd like to check these out.

Scooter, I am gonna run by my Costco today and give these a check. I hope they have them!!! I have a couple of timers on some freshwater stuff that could use a little help. I'll let you know later.

Sounds good Charlie, appreciate it, I may be gone a while, this hurricane is getting closer & closer to us here, I may be camping for some time.

The timers themselves don't have any brand name on them. The packaging says West products LTD. And for your consumer confidence in the upper right had corner it says "rated good" :). Well I guess honest expectations for a $3 timer. It's kind of a weird timer. You rotate an outer bezel to set the hours and minutes. When you rotate the bezel it sounds like a mechanical timer.

I just picked up a pack from the Costco in Issaquah. The bezel is a little weird to set the clock and time but is very easy to use. I like how it has an internal rechargable battery that will hold the time in a power outage. I was doing some electrical work in my kitchen last week and shut off the power throwing my timers 30 minutes off. Seems like a good timer though and hopefully more reliable than my other ones.

Scooter, never made it to Costco today, work got a little busy!!!! As for you, don't stick around when you don't have to. How far are you from where the main part of the storm is supposed to hit. If you don't answer this, TAKE CARE!
Sorry Jeff, didn't mean to intrude.

You guys are going to love this one...For 2 days now I've seen this thread, read the first post by Jeff and said to myself, "This one's not for me" I don't need a digital camera...I have one and besides it can't be good anyway if you can get 3 for only 13 bucks  I was wondering what you guys could be talking about on this thread for so long, so I came back to check it out...Maybe I should pay a little more attention next time cause I feel like an idiot...You guys are talking about timers not cameras :D My bad (LOL) Anyway, we don't have Costco in the Bahamas so I guess it's still no help to me (LOL).
Everyone let's welcome our newest member to RF family! "The Illiterate Idiot Krish75"!

Well, not necessarily a surprise, but bad news. Last night one of these digital timers failed to turn off my IC660. Maybe its just one bad unit but I doubt it. If only I had picked up that mega pack of cameras instead!:)

Mine so far have been just fine, so we'll see. I'd take it back to Costco and ask them to replace it; they seem to always take anything back.

Freaky...I made a special effort to tag along with my wife to go to the Tacoma Costco to look for these. That meant dragging the kids along too. Anyway I go hunting while in the store for these things. Man I looked high and low with no luck for about twenty minutes, long enough to cover the store twice. Dang they don't have'em I thought, Costco is like that, different things are in different stores. Anyway I gave up and started getting other groceries. I walk by and right on top of the tomatoes, (which I hate by the way), is one solitary three pack like it dropped out of the sky. One of those deals where someone puts it in their cart then later decides they don't want it and they are too lazy to put it back where they got it so they just throw it wherever. Weirdest thing though. It was so weird that I went hunting again for them just to find where they were. Could NOT find a' one, 'cept the one I had which was all I needed. Now if I could just get that lucky on a lottery ticket. :)
