Hi,
Since most of my chronic injuries are related to my hobby and this board has some highly educated people on it... any nurses? Thought I would ask here.
I dislocated my index finger installing a refugium and popped it back in. Since then it works normally and has strength except in the direction it dislocated-putting pressure on that causes pain. Is that something you just kind of wait on to see if it goes away? Don't want to go to the doc if I don't have to, it seems kind of whiny to say my finger hurts considering I am already on pain meds for major jaw, back and neck problems.
Other hobby related medical problems:
Lifting old salt buckets to dump out after water changes: major back problems
and right shoulder tear
Electrocution when return pump hose came off and I tried to turn the powerstrip off while being showered with tank water: Tissue damage in right hand
Breaking cover glass in hands while cleaning it or putting it somewhere to dry (Note to self: do not put sheets of glass on top shelf)
Chronic alkalinity and calcium issues in newly setup tanks: migraines and insomnia, TMJ. Ok, that's a loose connection
Current amount of weight my doctor says I can lift: 10 stinkin pounds.
Any of you got advice/tank injury war stories?
Kate
