I recently picked up a 20L that will be plumbed into my system as a display fuge. I'm looking for ideas/pictures of what/how to stock it. I "plan" on stocking lots of macros.. lighting isn't a problem, so I'm pretty open there... Just looking for ideas as to what you all have stocked in a display fuge, and some comments on substrate (without getting into the miracle mud debate if possible, as I think I've decided its not a direction I'd like to go), and the "best" macro's that won't lead to problems in the DT (going sexual/spores)

Welcome!

The plan sounds well thought out already and I don't see a question...

We have a lot of LFS local whom should be able to help you find a sand that meets your needs for size and color. Likewise the macros are what you can get for now to get started and then think about other species as you go.

You are right, I suppose there really wasn't a question there. I guess I was hoping some folks wouldn't mind posting up some pics that might help to inspire my stocking list. There are a lot of macro's out there, alhtough I don't see a lot stocked locally. Pictures are decieving, and vendors can be too in their evaluations of how appropriate they may be for fuge use rather than a macro tank. So, I'd love to hear some real world experiences to help me focus my research...

ok, lets try this list of questions..
do calciferous macros use much in the way of uptake?
should i set it up and allow it to run external to my system before plumbing it it?
does anyone have experience with photosynthetic sean fans? are they good in a fuge if well lit, or do they require too much care?
does calepera(sp) going sexual allow it to spread to a dt?
are other macros pose a risk of spreading to the dt?
does the macro dictate the flow, or should the flow dictate the macro?
