So i'm going to be getting a 40 gallon breeder and they do not make them RR. I will be taking it to the local glass guy and drilling it. I want to know what the best and easiest overflow style to do is. I think I have ruled out coast to coast as that takes away from the depth if this tank. I will also be doing a fake wall with rock and foam.

Advice? Picture?= Awesome

If you are going to drill you could attach a external overflow for all the piping. The foam rock wall you have planned will cover the back wall of the tank so you will not see any of it. Then just do vertical pipes in the overflow and your plumbing will go straight down which will help it to be that much more quite. No bends=no turbulence.
