I just wanted to share some pictures of my latest project. We needed a light fixture for the dedicated Aussie Acan Tank so I decide to build one since I have been collecting lighting parts for a while. It is a 24” 4 bulb fixture made from aluminum square tubing and angle. Here are some pictures of my progress. I already have the reflectors cut and I just need to do the H cut and drill the hole for the clips then hang it in the greenhouse.

Here is a picture of the finished fixture. The next thing to work on is the stainless steel hangers.

I am very happy with the way it turned out. The picture of our acan tank is over 3 months old and is pretty packed right now.
I have a new tank with a 30" x 30" footprint in the works now. Thanks for looking.

Thanks, the tank is completely full now and I have other colonies in our other tanks in our system. I will have to take some updated pictures of the tank.

First....WELCOME TO RF! that is one awesome collection of acans.

Thanks, glad to be here. But as you can see I signed up a while back and have been lurking, I decided it was time to start participating. Thanks on the comment about our acans, we are very proud of our collection.

I just finished gluing the sides on our new acan tank, which will give us another two square feet of tank area for more acans. I still have to cut and glue in the Euro bracing. It has a 30"x30" foot print. Once I get it on line I will post pictures.
