I picked up a half black Mimic Tang from Barrier Reef's anniversary sale that is doing great. He's in a 20 gallon long QT tank with a pair of Picassos and has been eating mysis, formula 2 flake food, freeze dried cyclopeeze, and New Life Spectrum pellets with gusto. He seems fine, but he hasn't touched a single piece of Nori I've tried to give him. I have the brown and green variety's, and i've even tried to rubber band the nori to a rock instead of feeding it off the clip. Any suggestions for what i should do or do mimic tangs not eat nori?

It's a 'mimic' in the sense of appearance, not diet. :D You'll find it will eat much the same foods as Dwarf Angels. Although they will and do eat macro algae, they are often a minor part of their diet. Provide frozen foods that contain marine algae and offer some macro algae tied to a rock on the bottom of the tank (rather than on those algae clips).
