After lights on this morning I saw 2 or 3 these tiny snails cruising around. Their bodies look like Nassarius (large flat foot, long siphon). Is it possible that the adult Nassarius have successfully reproduced? Do they develop from free-swimming larvae (unlikely to survive in my tank) or do they crawl away from deposited egg cases as miniature adults?
Here's a pic of the small snail, ~2-3mm long.
Here's a YouTube video I found of what is claimed to be a Nassarius egg case with crawl-away juveniles. We do occasionally see small round white things on the glass that may be egg cases like this. I typically scrape them away in the weekly glass cleaning, but other may well survive on the back wall since I don't scrape that surface.

My only real hesitation that these may NOT be Nassarius (or at least not produced by my resident adults) is that my adults have very ridged shells and these tiny guys have very smooth, shiny shells.
(Here's a pic of the adult)
Thanks for any tips!
(Crossing my fingers that these little guys aren't some kind of coral devouring nuisance.)
