I am looking for some pictures and ideas of anyone that has a large display tank over a smaller display tank with a sump tot he side of the lower tank. I am tinkering with the idea of a 300-500g tank and putting my 180 under it as I want to keep two one for the aggressive non reef inhabitants and the larger for the reef tank itself. Sinc emost likely the larger tank will be 8' and my 180 is 6' I have this idea I could put the 180 under it and have a sump to the side for the skimmers. Anyone with ideas or pictures would be greatly appreciated. Also if this should go somewhere else moderators please move to appropriate home.

Aggressive or predator fish? cause if its predator fish IMO the nitrates might be a bit of an issue with the load from them, just a thought if you tied them together.

well this is currently set up this pay they are aggressive such as triggers, and non reef safe such as my Koran Angel.... I am looking at Randy-S's 340 tank though right now and it would not accomodate such a setup which means I may sell the 180 or make it independant whcih is not something I really want to do I like doing one water change!
