I have to be gone for a week and really have nobody to feed my fish...

Any advice would be appreciated as so far being rather new I have nothing automated except my lights.

I've seen some people use automatic feedeers that you can buy at basically any LFS. Nothing major into opperating them. Maybe you can look into one of them:)

Deb,

There are many different "Auto Feeders" on the market, that you could choose for feeding flake and/or pellets. Since you don't have anyone available to feed your fish, this might be a good option for you.

I recently purchased the Ekomixo Automatic Feeder that is available at Foster and Smith for $32. I have been very happy with it and it has 3 seperate time settings.

I will look into that particular feeder as 2-3 times a day just pellets and flakes (fish will be unhappy but will live) is what I am looking to feed.

Thank you all for your answers and gosh darn that Krish is pretty hard to beat Lake Ed! :) but....you have tangs....hehehehehe at least on your avatar.

Thanks again,

Here's some brief reviews to look over (wish they had pics though!)

I use 2 feeders when I'm on vac.
The "daily double" (for pellets) and the FishMate 14 (for flakes/misc.)

Both are "okay" IMO.
The FishMate feeds slowly over a 2-3 hour period (is not-digitial and can be confusing to program.)

The Daily double is super-easy to use. But not very adjustable.
It only feeds twice @12 hours apart--starting when you put the batteries in. (So if you want it to feed at 8:15 (am & pm ) you have to be there to start it.....)
