Does anyone know what this is????

I was wondering if anyone would happen to know what this might be. I have hundreds of them and more appearing every day. It is soft and sways in the water flow. If you touch them they fall off. They are 1/4 to 1/2" tall. Any ideas?????

It looks like a type of Foraminiferan. They are harmless
