Well first off I have a 24" Odyssea Powercompact fixture with 2x65W bulbs.
It came with 1 "10'000k" and 1 "Actinic". I would like to replace the bulbs with some better name branded PC bulbs.
I am still thinking of different brands such as UVL, Current USA, and Blue Life USA.

My plan is:

1 65W Dual-Actinic "450nm blue/420nm actinic"
1 65W 10'000K "White"

Does that sound ok for my 10g?

If you have any suggestions let me know. Thanks!
All I plan to do with it is to hold softies mainly.

Also what are the main color differences between the 450nm and 420nm actinics?

Should be fine for softies i'ld ask your lfs about the lighting needs of what ever your buying.

I'ld suggest getting a nice little t5 setup if they make them that small. The colors those things bring out are amazing.

They should be fine for anything imo the depth isn't going to be great. Sps would be the only thing i would be worried about. I ran a lps and zoa 10g with just 2 24watt bulbs fine with good quality water. It was a stock 14g biocube hood modded.
