around there really
i have a 29 galon in the dining room a 55 gallon 125 gallon and a 40 gallon in the breeze way behind my living room and a 75 gallon in my den

i want the 29 to be the hospital tank for the 125 and the 75, but what could i do with the others to make use of them???

just wanted some suggestions

wish i made enough to make them all reefs!!!

lol!!!

I would buy a BIG tank and add them together. That way you could have a really nice tank and use the 55 as a hospital. Of course it depends on what you are keeping.

If you don't already have sumps, you could turn the smaller tanks into sump/fuges to place under your larger tanks. Combine the fish that are appropriate to combine and go larger!! I know the feeling. At one time, I had 22 Fresh Water tanks going in a 3 bedroom house. I even had them on the shelves in the laundry room breeding...lol.

The only thing I can think of for the use of the actual tank is either a display tank, a QT tank or a sump of some kind (sump or refugium). That is about it.

hey thanks guys that helps!!!

i think ill just clean them and have FW tanks, or buy something like a vieled chamelon or some kind of lizard for the 40 gallon

who knows

thanks for all the ideas though, and yes i already do have sumps but that was a good idea!!!

ohh and yes i wish i could get a bigger tank

the biggest i want is a 750 but thats when i buy a house, i would like to have lifetime 75 gallon, 125 gallon 300 gallon and the 750 but i would probably trade the 300 for the 750

the 75 would be all reef no fish the 125 would be a fish and reef and the 750 will be sharks and triggers and angels!!!!

When I lived in NC, I had the same dilemma. I had 4 running tanks (12, 37, 90, 125g) in my family room. My wife made a comment that I should charge admission when people come to our house. :) When me moved from NC to WA (hence my signon name, NC2WA), my wife came a great Xmas present to me. She said I could get the biggest darn tank I could afford (up to 500 gallons), but the catch was all the other tanks would either be sold or taken down. In other words, just have one big tank and that is it.

I agreed, and I have a 375 gallon in the wall with a 20 gallon QT tank. The 90 and 125 I sold and the 37g is in my office. Everyone is happy. :D

I have close to 200lbs of LR. Actually, this was on purpose. I plan on having several large angelfish and want plenty of room for them to swim. I didn't want a tank full of rock and there be limited space for them to swim.

A fuge is forth coming...

the magic (and all the equipment) is in the garage: :D:D

(note this pic, IMG_0403a), this is the heart of my automated water changes and able to perform a 30gallon water change in 10 mins. No more lifting buckets for me.

note this pic, IMG_0147a. This is a great skimmer (on the higher end scale) that allows me to keep ammonia, nitrite, and nitrates at 0. The main reason I went with this skimmer is I knew I was going to have a heavy fish bioload and wanted a skimmer that would allow me to maintain good quality water.
