just started dosing kalkwasser, not using a kslk reactor either, just using a drip bottle. have it set at 13dpm is that sufficient enough?

Your drip rate should match your evap rate. You will have to be the judge if 15DPM is enough. You will have to test for Ca., alk, and PH alot in the next few weeks to see if you need to strenghten of weeken your solution to match Ca.,alk demands

Reefmaster, another suggestion is to make sure that your Alk, Ca and Mg are balanced BEFORE starting a Kalk drip regiment. Once you have them all balanced, dripping Kalk will keep them balanced, with small supplements of each needed once in awhile. Dripping when you're out of balance can swing things even more out of balance. Ummm, here's a link to a thread I started awhile back going through the same thing. There's a lot of GREAT info on it and links to Randy's 3 part recipe for DIY Ca, Alk and Mg supplement. I've used the recipe to get balanced and it's AWESOME. In that thread, there's also a link to a great Reef Chemistry Calculator that's very easy to use to determine what your balanced numbers should be and for determining how much supplements you need to add to get balanced.
