anyone out there willing to help me drill my 10 gallon tank. Looking to drill two bulk heads for a refugium. Let me know.

It's easy.
I was able to drill 2 1.5" holes in a 10 with a $15 ebay bit, plumbers puddy, and some water. Next time I'm going to clamp a piece of wood to the back to try to avoid chipping.

Easy to drill a hole in it, but if you want a perfect hole that lasts, IE the tank doesn't crack or shatter after connecting piping to the bulk head, I would say it's extremely difficult.

I've broken about six 10g tanks. Can be fun to throw them in a dumpster afterwards, but it's a little wasteful and I'd suggest going another route. I have one that is currently running, but I don't trust it and will be replacing it.

15g tanks are often made with thicker glass and you may have better luck there.

Glass is so thin on smaller tanks like that, you have to thread very lightly when drilling. Also careful with the weight of the plumbing on it & if you twist too much it will crack!

I had a friend who used a 10 gal as a refugium, he had it drilled by a glass shop and was very careful with the plumbing. It worked just fine for him.

I'm guessing it's glass?

The glass thickness of an AGA 10 gallon tank is about 1/8", while the thickness of a 15 or 20 gallon tank is about 1/4" thick.

That said, I don't see anything wrong with drilling a 10 gallon tank provided you heed the advise of the above posters. I drilled one of mine with no problems at all. However, a larger (thicker) tank will be less likely to break.. during drilling and afterwords.
