Just drilled two holes in my 72 gallon bowfront tonight. It was a piece of cake. I got the diamond bits from a local discount tool store. Took about an hour for each hole (not counting prep). Just make sure you go slow and keep it wet.

;) that was great.....! i remember some years ago , i was taught by using a piece of PVC- Couplin and a Hole Saw ( the wood type ) with anti freeze for cooling the glass while drilling , i was able to drill my tank successfully.... what did you pay for the Diamond bit...? and where can i get one in the NJ area...? our local discount stores don't have diamond bits , thanks for shareing with us , cw.

I don't know about NJ but they were $1.99 each at the local discount tool store I mentioned earlier. Do you have a Harbor Freight store near you?
