The one surviving head of frogspawn from my 15 head piece that was in my old 30 gallon system

Softy frag, doing pretty well, but was in a very nitrate rich tank so my low nitrate system is proving to be not as fitting of an environment for this little guy

Ya I want to sell the halide and the t5's and replace it with one 90watt aqua ufo, i just installed one over another persons tank and they are awesome, but a bit pricy

Looking good! Glad I dont have to lock your thread for deliberately breaking the rules...

:D

Looking good man!! Keep up the good work! :)

One small suggestion...I see your powerheads look a little covered in some thick algae. To save the pump, you might want to scrub some of that off so as to not restrict its suction. It would also improve your overall flow as well have a nice clean suction. :)

i just scrubbed them off with a tooth brush, but havnt pulled them out in a while to do a thorough cleaning. thanks for noticing though

I was looking at two of the aqua panels.... Can't wait to see some pics of the UFO installed. May go that route too...

I was considering two of the aqua panels as well, but for the same amount of money as two aqua panels you can get the aqua ufo, which is 20w more than two aqua panels. Plus rob at red c did some research on the aqua panels and the manufacturer doesn't recommend the use of aqua panels for growing coral, although I think they would grow coral fine, but if u r going to spend the same amount of money I would go with the aqua ufo.

Long time since an update here are some recent tank shots:

Still dealing with a hair algae but it is slowly disappearing.

I have had the aqua ufo installed for about 6 months now and I love it! everything is growing amazingly and the tank temp is a lot easier to regulate, plus the overall electricity demand has dropped dramatically.

Here are some pics of the ufo, the canopy looks empty without all the t5 and halide eqiupment:

Thanks Krish!

I was thinking of getting an aquapanel (made by the same company) for my refugium and new mangrove tank. LED is definitely the way to go.
