Well I went to Atlantis in Dubai, UAE. I did the Water Park which was a really good time and also did the "Lost Chambers" on another day.

Don't waste your money on the "Lost Chambers" portion. Took us a whole 15 minutes walking from one end to the other stopping to look and "awe" at all the exhibits. I guess I'm more dissapointed that it was so short.

They had horseshoe crabs that were HUGE!!! They were easily 2ft across, and we got to pet them.

Then we went to the Mall of Dubai. They had a aquarium there that rivialed the Atlantis Aquarium. We did not do the 3 story tour of the aquarium at the Dubai Mall, but we were able to eat dinner in front of the aquarium that they dive in & have a glass bottom boat float around on top. It was crazy to say the least.

I saw purple tangs that were almost as big as a volley balls. They had several sharks from Hammer heads, white tip, black tip, shovel nose and nurse sharks. They even had some groupers that were about 10ft long!

All I have to say, is that it just made me want an aquarium about the size of my house if I win the lotto :)

i went there last year simply amazing worlds largest mall and worlds largest aquarium viewing panel....i did the whole tour and they let us dive with them too.....it was awesome did you stay till 1600 when they did the feedings??

No skiing, and didn't know to stay for the feedings. We were thinking of the SandBox.

I did see the ski mountian in the Mall as we were on our way out. I was simply AMAZED of all the stuff that is in Dubai.

My how things have changed since 2002. Just last year or something I remember watching the making of the Palm tree Island on the discovery Channel. When/if we ever stop here again, I might just have to be a "Mall Rat"

Totally off subject:

Oak Harbor and/or Mt Vernon NEEDS a Chili's AND a T.G.I.F. Life would suck for Applebee's, but these two places are the BOMB, even overseas.

Check my Bahamian Photo Log thread in my signature. I have a lot of photos in there of Atlantis here in the Bahamas. :)

I saw them last year or so.

I saw a post you made when I first joined and saw all the photo's you have of the place. We had a tour, and I was thinking of all the cool photo's you had of the place, so I went. It was a good time, and I'm sure it will be better when the fish are no longer babies at the Atlantis in Dubai.
