Eating Acropora

Well he was cool. Just as long as he stayed in the monti cap that was huge. He ate some, but mainly just hung out and looked kinda cool. Then the day came where he made a terrible mistake. He left the monti and moved into my purple tipped acro, and began to chow down. He is three times the size of the little acro crab that lived there already, and just took over. So today it went really bad for him. His corpse is sitting next to my computer right now as I type.
So here are the pics. Dont worry I didnt take any pictures of his untimely end.

That sucks Steve...That's the main reason why I hate crabs! Don't have any and don't want any...Glad you got him out. Now maybe you can try one of your chili recipes using him

I would go so far as to say he is flamable now.
I know that is wrong. I was pretty pissed at it. I know that is wrong too. It was just doing what coral eating crabs do.
I didnt get a real good pic of the damage. Its pretty bad.

Poor fellow...Sounds like you went Ted Bundy on him! Ah well...Crabs are cooked everyday for meals so don't feel bad. Just think of it as practicing

lol..funny. I removed my SB in my 27 last week, while taking pieces of LR out I found the beleived to have died fuzzy crab clinging for life to the side of one. Needless to say I didnt put him in, probly chillin' at the city dump by now:lol:

wow and to think I was sad when I found the lil hermit crab who got lost outside in the new tank move!! I love my crabs...uh Marine crabs...If you knew he was a coral eater..why not just have moved him out in the first place??
