it's magic, mate....
when you plug it into your reef system,
angels fly down from heaven and clean your reef for you,
save your soul, and change the skimmer cup.
then, before they leave, they take out your garbage.
so, in short, no, it doesnt work.

That's funny the angels that came to visit me crapped in the skimmer cup, magically put an algea bloom all over the tank and put your trash on my door step. Damn the luck I should have bought the ecoaqualizer

This question comes up every few months it seems. There ought to be a sticky at the top of the "New to reefkeeping" forum that just says in giant bold letters ECO AQUALIZER SUCKS

granted, i do belive that there is "something" to passing aquarium water through a magnetic feild, and effecting hydrogen bonds. but i definately do not think that it takes the place of any filtration, nor does it allow you to be lazy and do less cleaning/water changes the way the ecoaqualizer is advertised.
so ultimately it's their advertising that i take the largest offense to, because it connotates that you need less maintenance to acheive the same amount of water purity.
but I will say that one of the most infamous sps keepers here on this website has used one for years and likes them alot. and i suppose if someone gave me one, i might use it just for kicks.
hell, at least they arent expensive, i'd say that's the best thing it has going for it.
