Ecoqualizer?

Has any one ever used the ecoaqualizer. It is one of those too good to be true things.

I mean really, "working with NASA's far infrared radiation"???...lol
freakin magnets in a tube.
and while that may potentially offer some minuscule benefit to water somehow,
I sincerely doubt that it keeps your water clean year round, and allows you to do less water changes, as advertised.

Well what a way for you guys to go and ruin a perfectly good waste of my money.

I'm sure it doesn't taking into consideration the elements in the water column that get taken up by livestock, but I'll put it to the test and see if there is any real tangible benefit to them at all. Their advertizing reminds me of that engine oil commercial with the "molecular contamination binding agents....and a force field against sludge!". Should be easy enough to determine if it raises ORP or not though, and water clarity is easy enough to observe.

There was a huge thread about them yrs ago, they are worthless. Just get a piece of pvc and put some magnets in it, then cover it with some electric tape and there ya go. You too can create a worthless piece of crap of your own : )

The sad thing is how many of these have been sold and are being used as an excuse not to do regular maintenance, its almost painful really. I found their adds the other day when I did a google search on the msx-160 protein skimmer.

I find it amazing how something can have such a bad rap for so long and still get asked about now and then; and that's not meant as a jab at the OP before anyone freaks out.
