Just wondering if sps is out of the question now that i upgraded my tank to a 36gal bf. I am running a 250w HQI with a 14k bulb. I am interested in getting a bali green. Also if a clam is out of the question.

That should be plenty of light for both of them. I would start the Bali green about midway in the tank and see how it does. The clam should be fine with good water quality.

The bali green slimer will be fine under that lighting. Plus any of the higher light loving clams, the crocea and maxima would also be fine under that lighting. I'd say you are good to go..

I agree...I kept corals that lived in waist high water in the wild in my 38gal under a single 250w MH 14K :)

I disagree with Krish just because. :D I do think that is enough light though.
