Good Morning all -

Last night while removing the skimmate(sp?) cup from my Euroreef Skimmer, the seam just below the disconnect point failed. I couldn't believe it! Just sat there looking at it like, WTF?? I've only had it since last May, never had any problems and treated it with kid gloves.

Anyone had this happen before? Any idea what my options are on getting a replacement, or am I just out $200?

Stay dry!

Dan

Have you tried to contact Euro-Reef yet? That's where I would go first, and see what they have to say.

I agree with Nikki. Euroreef has a good reputation. I wish you good luck. I bet they will send you one in no time. Please let me know how they respond. I have a leak on mine too. Mine is older though. I just used some silicone.

I know one person had a problem with their Euro-Reef, and it was fixed by the company. I have an CS6-2 and havent had a problem with it. I did go through a little bit of frustrationtrying to get ahold of them initially, but when they called back, they were all sorts of willing to help me out and answer my questions. One thing I remember the guy on the phone stressing was me filling out the warranty card IMMEDIATELY!! He said that they would'nt do anything unless the warranty was filled out and returned. He made such a big deal about I mailed the thing off the day I got the skimmer.
Keep us posted on how this turns out.

Well I traded e-mail with Euroreef, and they are sending me a "coupler" to glue the two parts together. Heres a pic of the break BTW.

Thanks again for the feedback. I'll let you know hpw the fix goes.
